Date Thoughts For the First Date
The first date is always an vital date to reckon about – it’s the one that will hopefully secure you a second date or a third date, and if you’re lucky, it force be the date you’ll be talking about together for years. Choose a date which is appropriate for the person and takes in how well you know the person you are taking. If you know them well, then step outside the box a small and take them somewhere completely different, but if you don’t know them that well, and it’s the date to get to know each other better, then you can choose something a small more intimate.
Coffee shop
A nice trendy coffee shop is a fantastic first date if you’re starting to get to know the person (especially for a blind date). It’s intimate and will let you both just talk in a casual simple environment, allowing to get to know each other without any pressure. It also allows the date to follow its own time, either chatting away for hours, or leaving early if things don’t work out, and will let you converse for but long you feel. Try and find a coffee shop that has something unique and fascinating about it to help as an ice-breaker.
Picnic in the Park
A nice romantic date in a nice park, at the beach or on the side of hill with incredible views. Keep the picnic simple with nice food and appropriate drinks (cold for summer, warming for winter) Make an effort without having to go over the top (and don’;t forget a rug!). You can also pick up a Frisbee or a kite and have some fun!
Dinner Theatre/ Comedy Club
A excellent way to combine getting to know someone as well as enjoying some excellent entertainment together. Choose somewhere with a variety of acts to cater for all comedy tastes
Boat Trip
Most cities will have a boat trip with views.
It’s a nice way to be a tourist in your own town, as well letting the different places you pass flash off conversations between the two of you. You can even reckon of hiring a small boat and setting your own route.
Romantic Dinner
The classic date for people who know each other and want to get to know each other more. Fantastic for a slow start where you just want to focus on having fantastic conversation and nice food.
Art Galleries/ Museums
A date where you can go somewhere different. It can provide fantastic conversation as you discuss the exhibits and there is ordinarily a coffee shop if you don’t want the end to date just yet.
Go-Karting, Mini-golf
Sometimes doing crazy things together is a fantastic ice-breaker to help take the pressure off. These give you plenty of time inbetween the activities to talk and get to know each other, even as letting you feel you’ve done something together too, making things more comfortable and familiar.
Concerts
An impressive date if you can get something suitable for your partner’s tastes. Whether it be jazz, rock, classical or whatever thing else that force place you both in a fantastic mood. A fantastic one if you’re beyond the ‘making conversation’ stage.
Cinema
A simple date where you can both see a movie you both want to see. Make sure you have a coffee previous to or after as it’s not one which allows much conversation time otherwise.
